Step 1: collect application data
We need to collect the part size and the specification of the directional material, and note the die size
Step 2: determine the required locking force
Check the height, wall thickness, material, core and projection surface of the component to determine the required mode locking force
Step 3: verify the space of the selected clamping device
Verify die size: horizontal, vertical and closed height correspond to the selected clamping device: add the middle clamping die selection if necessary
Step 4: estimated cycle time
Determine the approximate filling, filling and cooling time according to the wall thickness, flow, gate thickness, rib and flange, and determine the approximate time of formwork locking and parts discharge according to the height of the component (mode locking stroke), movement of core, slide valve and discharge of any necessary parts. This will help determine the operating specifications of the required machines.
Step 5: mold locking speed and dry cycle pick up
Whether the die locking performance of the machine is enough to meet the required working performance. If greater performance is required, determine whether the faster traverse speed is suitable or available. Check the choice of increasing clamping speed and make pick-up decision.
Step 6: injection unit selection
Determine that a unit has sufficient volume to accept the injection amount. The general choice is that the required injection is between 10% and 80% of the total capacity.
Step 7 is particularly important: production capacity
One: output weight per hour
Verify that the selected unit can produce the required output, calculated in pounds per hour. If the selected unit is unable to reach the required production, increase the length diameter ratio, and then review again. If the increase of length diameter ratio is not effective, the size of injection unit and diameter of screw planting can be increased, and then the results can be verified again.
Two items: recovery rate
The minimum time of screw refilling or extraction and screw filling is determined by friction of the standard extruder of the selected mold locking pump set and injection unit. Three items: required injection rate
According to the material, wall thickness, flow distance and mold temperature, the required filling time is determined. The injection rate is calculated by using the required filling time and injection quantity and the pump group GPM selected in the previous die lock and extruder selection section. If the calculated filling time is less than the filling time you want to obtain, refer to the selection listed in the following calendar. Select one or a group and recalculate the fill time. Continue to refer to the selected selections until you get the desired results.
